Living neuron networks sending information to
electric power grids? That is what researchers and engineers at Clemson
University are trying to achieve. They are growing neurons in a dish
containing a grid of electrodes that can stimulate and
record activity. The electrodes connect the living network to a
computer, allowing communications between the networks and the device.
Understanding how this operates could help researchers develop better
electric power grids.
