Happy 60th anniversary to the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation! ANSTO is home to the some of Australia’s most significant tools for science including the OPAL research reactor (pictured), which creates neutrons that are used by researchers in engineering, climate change, life science and industry. ANSTO also produces 10,000 patient doses of nuclear medicine every week that helps to diagnose heart disease and cancers. Congratulations to all the ANSTO scientists and engineers and thank you for making Australia a better, safer and healthier place.
