Fire rainbows!
Fire rainbows! This pretty atmospheric
phenomenon, technically known as circumhorizontal arcs, occur when the
Sun is very high in the sky—more than 58° above the horizon—and its
light passes through high-altitude cirrus clouds. These clouds are made
up ice-crystals, which act as a prism, resulting in a beautiful
multi-coloured band that looks like a rainbow.
